SA's IT sector 'to create 95 000 jobs in next four years'

JOBURG: The technology sector will drive the creation of almost 2 300 new businesses and 95 000 new jobs in the next four years in South Africa, a study has revealed.

Global information technology research firm International Data Corporation said most of these businesses would be small and locally owned and the jobs would be highly skilled and of a high quality.

The study looked at IT's contribution to gross domestic product in 52 countries, representing 98 percent of the global IT spend and delved into job creation. - Sapa
